Dilly Dresdens is dramatic done in country colors – but would be great all dressed up for Spring. These double Dresden’s – that’s right just one appliqued on a larger one – are easy but striking when combined with black. The designer used a machine quilting tool (CGRQTA3), or you can quilt with your checkbook! The wedges were cut with the Creative Grids 22-1/2-degree ruler (CGRT225) which makes it a 16 petal Dresden. BTW, a Dresden can be made with any triangle. To determine the number of petals you will need, divide the angle – in this case 22-1/2 into 360 – to determine the number of petals required to complete the ring! It’s that easy!
